Cobra Kai season five is in the making for Netflix following the success of the recent fourth season. The latest instalment introduced newcomer Kenny (played by Dallas Dupree Young), a student who was bullied and joined the Cobra Kai dojo. There is a chance the youngster could end up in juvenile prison if he continues down a dark path.

Will Kenny end up in prison in Cobra Kai?

Fans were heartbroken when they were first introduced to Kenny in season four.

The student was excited for his first day of school, but he immediately made himself a target for bullies.

Ever since then, he was picked on by Anthony LaRusso (Griffin Santopietro) and his friends and turned to Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) for help.

Robby had known Kenny’s brother, who was serving time in prison for getting into a bad fight.

The Cobra Kai student taught Kenny how to defend himself, but the youngster took things too far.

As his lust for revenge got the better of him, Kenny ended up badly hurting Anthony and his friends.

However, he avoided expulsion from school as the headteacher found evidence of Anthony picking on him.

During the Karate championships, Kenny did not hold back against the competition and proved himself to be a fierce fighter.

From this, it seems he could continue down a dark path and become the next John Kreese (Martin Kove) or Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith).

Kenny’s future may have already been foreshadowed as he follows the path of his brother.

He explained to Robby how his older brother ended up behind bars, and it was due to the fact he was trying to protect his home from intruders.

With this in mind, it is possible a seemingly-innocent Kenny could follow in his brother’s footsteps unintentionally.

He may be keen to make Anthony suffer even further for the pain and embarrassment he caused him at school.

Although, if things get too out of hand, he could be expelled or worse, sent to juvenile prison.

By the end of season four, he was thrilled to hear Cobra Kai had won the tournament.

With the excitement from the victory still fresh in his mind, it could encourage him to take things a step further.

Season five will address whether he is able to redeem himself, as even Robby was worried about the young student.

Robby may be able to persuade him to not let his anger get the better of him.

Fans have taken to Reddit to discuss whether Kenny will be the villain of season five.

Willowicey said: “I think he will definitely be a villain. Bc there’s not anyone really left for Silver in Cobra Kai besides Kyler.” [Sic]

However ok-leopard-9098 said: “He is too young I think, can’t really match Miguel and Sam.

“Maybe it’s a good storyline for him to go after Anthony and then they start bonding or such.

“The ‘from bullied to bully’ thing was already done with Hawk, if they will repeat this it will be boring.”

Kenny quickly became the character viewers loved to hate as he headed down his dark path.

Odd_Piccolo_2591 said: “This show has the unique ability to make you hate and love most of the characters at some point.

“But seriously Kenny is fairly forced and annoying.”
