CORONATION Street fans are furious after Geoff Metcalfe’s “massive” hidden camera was finally found – but Tim agreed to keep it a secret.
The evil abuser – who is played by actor Ian Bartholomew in the ITV soap – finally gained access to his imprisoned wife Yasmeen’s house to retrieve the camera.
He deleted the footage showing him threatening Yasmeen with a knife – although the dates on-screen showed a week in April when the scenes were scheduled to appear.
But the dates weren’t the issue that viewers had – instead they were left raging by the sheer size of the camera.
The circular camera has a huge lens and sat on top of a CD making it very obviously a camera.
Despite this neither Yasmeen – who was forced to obsessively clean every inch of the house – nor a full police investigation with forensic team failed to spot it.
The fact they missed it has strained credibility and left fans furious.
One wrote: "#Corrie is so stupid. After all that good work they did on the Coercive Control storyline, the police's behaviour was ridiculous and SOCO would have found that camera and taken the laptop"
A second said: "That camera is that big it needs a scene all of it's very own #corrie"
Another added: "How obvious was Geoff’s camera in #Corrie and police didn’t find it after the incident."
In tonight’s episode Geoff was even caught deleting the footage by his son Tim – but Tim failed to realise the significance.
Geoff pretended that the camera was broken and that Yasmeen knew about it.
Tim didn’t question his dad and instead swallowed his lies and agreed to pretend that it never existed.
