Coronation Street fans were in for a surprise tonight as Roy Cropper (David Neilson) started listing off X-rated facts in the cafe.
Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) came in for a coffee, waving about their baby scan – which unexpectedly prompted Roy to start chatting about sex.
As proud as punch, Maria showed off the scan, saying: "It's a miracle, isn’t it?"
Never one to mince his words, Roy immediately started explaining why it was hardly a "miracle" that she was pregnant.
He said: "Statistically speaking a woman of your age having regular sexual intercourse without contraception would have a 66% chance of conceiving within a year?
"While this compares unfavourably with rabbits for example, which are favourably fecund, it is far from miraculous."
Looking at the lovebirds, he added: "As I understand it you already have three miracles."
