What do we know about Sally's public stand against Geoff in Corrie?

Sally is set to take the first step this week when she kicks Geoff out of the house after Yasmeen pleads not guilty to the attempted murder charge.

And her hostility will continue next week when she refuses to sit with Tim and Geoff in the Rovers.

Sally’s actions don’t go unnoticed by other residents of the cobbles and Alya later tells Imran that she thinks Sally has turned against Geoff – and that they need to get her on side.

Is Sally going to uncover Geoff’s abuse of Yasmeen?

Fans have long suspected that Sally will hold the key to exposing Yasmeen's abuser after she appeared to grow suspicious of her father-in-law's antics.

Sure enough, actress Sally Dyvenor recently appeared on This Morning where she revealed her character will become pivotal in the ongoing storyline.

The actress said: "Remember, Sally spent time in prison for something that she didn't do, so there's no way she will allow Yasmeen to spend years behind bars for something she didn't do."

What evidence could Sally Webster put forward to expose Geoff?

Aside from Geoff confessing to sleeping with escorts ahead of Yasmeen’s arrest, Corrie fans know that Sally witnessed a string of suspicious events as Yasmeen’s neighbour over the past year that she could use to expose Geoff.

Fans will remember that Sally seemed suspicious of Geoff’s controlling behaviour when she and Tim paid a visit to Yasmeen and Geoff in the wake of his fake health scare in March, which stopped Yasmeen from visiting her relatives in spain.

Sally also witnessed Yasmeen looking uncomfortable at the Bistro reopening when she arrived draped in Geoff’s racy dress.

The daughter-in-law then watched the abuser burning Yasmeen’s things in the garden after she tried to leave him, and even came outside to comment on the nasty smell.

She told him that it didn’t smell like twigs and leaves – as he insisted – before heading back in doors.

At the time fans were shocked that Sally didn’t put two and two together and realise poor Yasmeen was being abused.
