CORONATION Street's Max Turner star Paddy Bever has revealed the heart-breaking truth behind his NTAs win.
The 19-year-old actor joined Corrie in September last year, taking over the role of Max from Harry McDermott.
Since then, Max has had some hard hitting storylines and Paddy has impressed with viewers with his portrayal of the teen.
Last Thursday, the actor won the Rising Star gong at the National Television Awards, and looked utterly shocked when his name was called out.
Speaking about the win at the Inside Soap Awards, Paddy told The Sun Online that it had come at an important time for him.
He said: "I just keep thinking about it. Like, every time when I wake up in the morning, I'll wake up and I'll be thinking 'that didn't really happen', and then I think, 'oh it did'.

"And that makes me feel very happy, I'm pretty overjoyed. Recently, before I won this award I had a bit of imposter syndrome.
"I was getting all these lovely storylines and I thought, 'what if I don't deserve this?' And I think that's why it was such an emotional moment."
Paddy continued: "I really hadn't felt like I deserved it and so won I won the award that it was such a reassurance and confirmation to me that people out there are supportive and what people have been saying to me might not be rubbish."
Paddy was attending the awards to pick up the gong for Best Family for the Platts.

Speaking about his soap family and why they're such fan favourites, he said: "So I think the most exciting thing about the Platts is that element of danger.
"How they always seem to find themselves in trouble, and they never seem to back down and they're very unapologetic.
"They have a real charisma and I think that element of danger runs through each generation, which is what makes it so exciting."
