Actor Daniel Radcliffe has been heaped with praise after choosing to swerve a question about Will Smith and Chris Rock’s Oscars clash.
During an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain to promote his new film The Lost City, host Susanna Reid asked Daniel what he made of Will hitting comedian Chris Rock following a remark about Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Susanna, 51, turned to 32 year old Daniel and remarked that many famous faces had chosen to keep quiet on the controversy, insisting they hadn’t seen it happen.
But instead of giving his hot take, the Harry Potter actor shut down the line of questioning politely.
He replied: “I saw it, I'm just so already dramatically bored of hearing people's opinions about it that I just don't want to be another opinion adding to it.”
As Susanna joked that he didn't even “want to hear himself have an opinion on it,” Daniel shook his head and replied, “No!”
Since, Good Morning Britain viewers have flocked to social media to praise the star for his response.
One wrote on Twitter: “Daniel Radcliffe has come out with the best response to Will Smith's slapping Chris Rock and he's bang on " He's bored of people's opinions on it.”
Another added: “Daniel Radcliffe refusing to share his opinion on the Will Smith & Chris Rock incident is exactly what everyone else should be doing.”
Meanwhile, a third said: “someone described Daniel Radcliffe as ‘an absolute boss’ and tbh word.”
While others commended the actor for maintaining choosing not to wade into the debate on the much-discussed topic.
One said: “My love and admiration for Daniel Radcliffe knows no bounds.”
A second agreed: “Is Daniel Radcliffe one of our best celebrities? Yes, yes he is.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Daniel opened up about working with Hollywood royalty Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in the blockbuster movie.
Speaking about why he wanted to be a part of it, Daniel explained: “It really was a very, very simple decision. I read the script and it’s hugely fun.
“As a blanket rule, I try to make the films I’d want to see as an audience member. When you read this script and know that Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock are the leads, it’s very easy to say yes to that.”
