Colin (Mark Noble) is the bad smell that just won’t go away for Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy), but while so far he’s mostly been an irritant, now his intentions turn deadly in Emmerdale.
While it’s been no secret that Colin is not a good person, absolutely no one, least of all Laurel, expects his next move.
Jai (Chris Bisson) is heading off on his India adventure and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) gets inside Laurel’s head that she’s not doing the right thing in letting him go alone so soon after Rishi’s (Bhasker Patel) death. Laurel has a rethink and decides she should join him. In getting ready to leave, she pops to retrieve Marshall’s (Max Fletcher) passport, expecting it to be a quick there and back errand. But Colin has other ideas.

He has no intention of letting Laurel just leave with his son’s passport, and he locks her in Marshall’s bedroom. Laurel is terrified – there’s no way of contacting the outside world and her desperation is palpable. She foolishly attempts to get Colin to listen, but all the negotiation and prayers in the world won’t get through his bloody mindedness. He’s lost his grip on reality and Laurel realises she’s in grave danger.
But Laurel is no fool, plus she’s feisty as heck, and when an opportune moment arises, she jumps on it and fights for her life. She bashes Colin over the head and makes a dash for the door. But Colin came prepared for that, she’s locked in.
By now, those back home are getting worried. Jai, Nicola and Suni are questioning what’s happened to her. Arthur clues them in when he reveals she nipped off to run an errand, but will they twig what’s really happened?
Unhinged and angry, Colin moves into the next phase of his instability – forcing Laurel to unlock her phone and text Jai to make him believe her absence is down to a relapse. Colin becomes even more erratic and when there’s a ray of hope for Laurel as a police officer arrives, her hope is quickly quashed when he manages to manipulate the officer. Colin has no intention of letting her go.
Realising Laurel is in grave danger, Jai and Suni take matters into their own hands, but is it too late?
