Will Death in Paradise be cancelled?

The tenth season of Death in Paradise will see Ralf Little return as Neville Parker.

The series is currently filming on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe and it is hoped to return in 2021.

However, fans of the show are already thinking about beyond this and whether the series will be continuing on with series 11.

Over the past few months, some viewers have taken to Twitter to discuss whether the show might be the latest impacted by coronavirus COVID-19 and be cancelled.

One user Georgieiscool69 wrote: “I am in love with Ralf Little and if Death in Paradise gets cancelled or delayed this year, I will eradicate coronavirus myself.”

At the time of writing, the show’s future has not been decided by the BBC yet.

However, according to some data compiled by CasinoCountdown, the series does have a possibility of being cancelled.

Entitled the Survival Scorecard, the company has determined Death in Paradise has a 74 percent probability of being cancelled.

This is based on data collected from the websites Ahrefs (an SEO tool), Google Trends and IMDb.

According to the CasinoCountdown, they created a model based on this looking at elements like duration, format and critical reception.

The model then looks at this in comparison to other previous long-running series.

However, this data should be taken with a pinch of salt, as fans will know how popular Death in Paradise still is.

However, there is no indication yet the series will be coming to an end any time soon.

If this changes, Express.co.uk will keep fans of the show updated.
