Death in Paradise's Ralf Little shows off striking DI Neville Parker transformation in rare vid from BBC set | The Sun

DEATH in Paradise's Ralf Little showed off his striking DI Neville Parker transformation in a rare video from the BBC set.

Ralf, 42, has played the lead detective in Death in Paradise since 2020.

When he's playing Neville, Ralf sports a clean-shaven look but in real life, the actor prefers a beard.

Taking to Twitter this week, Ralf shared a video of the moment he had to whip the beard off ready to start filming the latest series on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe.

He captioned the video: "The things I do to become DI Neville Parker…"

In the footage, Ralf was seen walking towards a trailer wearing a T-shirt and sunglasses.

He said: "I'm about to go into the make up truck because obviously I do not look like Detective Inspector Neville Parker at the moment."

Pointing at the beard, he said: "I have to get rid of this, I just hate being clean shaven…but here we go."

The video then switched to Ralf sitting in a make up chair with a robe around him, filming himself in a mirror.

He said: "Taking a last look at me as I am in the real world, before the Neville transformation begins."

Ralf was then handed an electric shaver and he started to take off his facial hair, joking: "I think I'm going to go for a Craig David chin strap beard circa 2001."

As his colleague laughed, Ralf's video showed him with the look, before he shook his head and started to take more off.

The next bit of the video showed him with long sideburns and a goatee, and he joked: "I think we've got Neville's new look guys."

Ralf then got rid of the bit on his chin, leaving an epic mustache.

He then shortened it further to a classic handlebar style and said: "Getting there."

Ralf then took it even shorter but looked less impressed and declared: "Definitely not."

He then filmed the final bit where he was completely shaven and with a sigh of resignation he said: "There it is….six months of my life….gutting."

Death in Paradise continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
