Warped serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer who slaughtered 17 victims during a wicked killing spree later chillingly described taking one victim's head to work after mummifying it at home.
Dahmer murdered 17 boys and men during his reign of terror in Milwaukee and Ohio between 1978 and 1991.
He was handed 15 terms of life imprisonment in 1992 after his nauseating crimes were finally uncovered.
Just a few months after he was caged, the former chocolate factory worker, who got away with his heinous crimes for over a decade, revealed in a disturbing TV interview that he began having dark, obsessive thoughts at 15 or 16.

As he got older, the fantasies only got worse, he said.
One of his fantasies involved picking up a hitchhiker, taking them back home and having “complete control and dominance over him.”
Soon after graduating high school, his twisted fantasies became horrifying reality.
Dahmer acted out the grisly scenarios – and then some.
He would photograph his victims, attempt to put them in a zombie-like state in sick experiments, and keep their body parts, organs, skulls and skeletons in freezers for a while after he had killed them.
Dahmer was also known to eat his victims, feasting on their heart or muscles, so he could feel like they were "part" of him.
Even more gruesome still, in some cases, he apparently had sex with their corpses.
And in one particularly shocking revelation, he described how taking one victim’s decapitated head to work.
Speaking in an astonishing TV interview in February 1993, he said: “I kept the mummified head and skull of one of the victims in a carrying case in my locker at work.”
Dahmer relived his grisly crimes in a chat with US show Inside Edition just two years after his crime spree came to an end.
He told Nancy Glass: “To this day I don’t know where it [his compulsions/fantasies] started.”
The twisted fiend added: "That's how strong the compulsion was. That's how bizarre the desire was, I wanted to keep something of the person with me"
His reign or horror is the subject of a new Netflix drama, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
Hollywood actor Evan Peter, 35, plays the 'Milwaukee Monster', who killed his first victim three weeks after graduating from high school when he was 18-years-old.
His killing spree lasted for many years before he was finally caught after asking three boys to return to his apartment and pose for nude photos.
In the 1993 interview, Dahmer, who was declared sane after being assessed, told Glass why he was able to kill so many.
"It is not a process that happens overnight," he said.
"When you de-personalise another human being and view them as just an object, an object for pleasure instead of living breathing human being, it seems to make it easier to do things you shouldn't do."
Dahmer was finally captured in 1991 after Tracy Edwards, a young man who had been lured to the killer's home of horrors, managed to flee after being attacked.
Tracy led police to Dahmer's apartment, where officers discovered a sickening treasure trove of evidence, including photos and parts of dismembered victims.
Dahmer was arrested, bringing an end to his 13-year murder spree.
On February 17, 1992, Dahmer was handed 15 terms of life imprisonment.
He was killed two years later by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver.
Dahmer was found alive with severe head and facial injuries but was later pronounced dead in hospital. He was 34.
