Stacey (Lacey Turner) made an explosive return in EastEnders tonight (September 21), but her return also brought with it a change to the closing credits.
The character has been credited as Stacey Fowler since tying the knot with Martin (James Bye) back in 2019.
However, tonight’s episode — Stacey’s first since October 28, 2019 — marks something of a new era for the icon, as she’s now credited as Stacey Slater.
Just got goosebumps, not going to lie.
Yes, the change is no doubt in relation to the fact that Stacey is determined to cut all ties with Martin, given that he’s been enjoying a lockdown romance with Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).
Speaking of Ruby, the young night-club owner has been losing a lot of money due to someone making outlandish purchases in her name, and tonight, it was revealed that the person in question is none other than Stacey!
With the cat out of the bag, Stacey made a return to the Square for the first time since her departure on August 1, 2019.
The question is: how will Ruby react upon coming face-to-face with her former best mate?
