EastEnders' Patsy Palmer ‘returns to soap’ as Whitney confesses to killing Leo

EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer is ‘set to return’ to Albert Square very soon.

According to reports, the 47-year-old will be reprising her role as Bianca Jackson, in a bid to help daughter Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), after she confessed to killing Leo King.

It has been claimed she will film her first scenes in the ‘coming weeks’.

‘Bianca is a legendary character and the writers are always delighted to be able to invite Patsy back to play her,’ an insider revealed.

‘Whitney’s admission in Friday’s episode will lead to some tough times for her, so her adoptive mum comes back to help her out.

‘Although it remains to be seen how helpful Bianca back will be for her,’ they added to the Sun.

Patsy first joined the BBC soap back in 1993, and became an instant fan favourite.

Despite quitting Walford in 2014, she made a very brief return for Whitney’s doomed wedding to Callum, with fans calling out for more.

Bianca’s return is coming at a tough time for Whitney, who turned herself in to police on Friday’s episode, after she killed psycho Leo in self-defence.

In scenes yet to air, she gets arrested for the crime, with Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) begging Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith) to defend her case.

But it isn’t looking good for the budding fashion designer, as police appear to be pushing towards a theory that she stabbed her former flame as an act of revenge, instead of to protect herself.

Can Bianca help her get justice?
