EastEnders spoilers: Whitney Dean plans secret escape before manslaughter conviction

Whitney Dean (played by Shona McGarty) was duped yesterday on the BBC show when Leo King’s (Tom Wells) mum Michaela Turnbull (Fiona Allen) turned up on EastEnders looking for answers. The mum broke down and cried asking for Whitney’s help but turned around and told the young woman that she hopes she gets life in prison for what she has done. Whitney has had a rough year after meeting her rapist Tony King’s (Chris Coghill) son Leo.

Leo hid his true identity but it quickly became clear Leo had turned up on Albert Square to avenge his father after it came to light Tony had killed himself in prison.

After months of aggravation and heartache, Leo’s life came to an end when he fell on a knife Whitney was using in self-defence when she found Leo had been living in her loft.

However, with her court date coming up, Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander Smith) has been coaching her.

Last night, Gray assured Whitney they wouldn’t have let her out on bail if they thought she was guilty and told her it would all be fine.

But a stark meeting with Michaela left Whitney shaken as the mum told Whitney she deserved everything that was coming to her.

However, in upcoming scenes, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) will urge Whitney to try and get her life back to normal.

Whitney will soon learn though Michaela has been posting things online about Whitney.

Whilst working at the market, Whitney will be confused when she sees everyone staring at her and despite Sonia and Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) trying to keep it a secret, they will be forced to tell her the truth.

Max Branning (Jake Wood) is set to return and will open up about his own time in prison, but this leaves Whitney even more desperate and puts her plans into action.

Gray will get tired of the number of people butting into Whitney’s case, but they won’t be able to help for much longer.

Whitney will be seen clutching her passport, but is her time really up on Albert Square? And will viewers ever see her again.

Fleeing before the court date will no doubt put her in even more hot water, but it all depends on who she tells she is leaving.

Gray has been under a lot of pressure recently, choosing to represent Whitney despite being suspended from his firm.

But, the solicitor has been working hard to help Whitney after encouragement from his wife.
