EastEnders star Maisie Smith shares first look at soap Strictly special – The Sun

EASTENDERS star Maisie Smith has given her fans the first sneak peek at this year's Strictly Children In Need special.

The actress was joined by her co-stars Ricky Champ [Stuart Highway] and Louisa Lytton [Ruby Allen] in the dance studio for rehearsals with pros Kevin Clifton, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Trent Whiddon.

Ricky swept Luba off her feet, while Louisa was led across the floor by Gorka in the Boomerang clip posted to Maisie's Instagram stories.

Yesterday Ricky wrote on his Instagram page: "I don’t mean to blow my own trumpet, but I can dance like the wind blows ?????."

While Louisa posted: "Well here we go then!! I can’t remember a SINGLE step from my strictly experience 13 years ago but boy is this going to be fun! @bbccin @bbcstrictly @gorka_marquez ??."

Strictly newcomer Nancy Xuxi is also dancing with Walford legend Rudolph Walker OBE, who plays Patrick Trueman, to complete the line-up.

Last year's Strictly special saw the members of Boyzone battle it out, with Shane Lynch taking the honours.

This year's Children In Need will be presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on Friday, November 15.

The stars will be competing in a group dance number choreographed by former Strictly professional Trent.

Speaking about competing on the show, Ricky said: “I am so excited to be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing EastEnders special. I’m looking forward to showing the world my moves. Bring it on!”

Louisa, who competed on the show in 2006, said: “It feels like a lifetime ago since I did Strictly Come Dancing so I am beyond excited to put my dancing shoes back on and return to the famous floor. It’s for a fantastic cause which makes it all the more special.”

Maisie added: “I’m flattered to be part of such an iconic show! Strictly has been a family favourite in my house for years. I can’t wait to put my dancing skills to the test!”

While Rudolph, 80, said: “I am thrilled to be taking part in this year’s competition and can’t wait to get started. Although at 80 years old, it’s probably best I don’t try to do the splits!”
