Emmerdale fans convinced Charity drops f-bomb as Vanessa receives cancer news

Emmerdale viewers were lost for words this evening as they watch the latest instalment of the ITV soap.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) celebrated Vanessa Woodfield's (Michelle Hardwick) birthday this evening despite her fiancée not wanting the fuss.

Presenting her partner with an expensive tablet, Vanessa was stunned and unsure she could accept the lavish gift.

Charity insisted that Vanessa took the gift after making everyone else low key for her birthday.

During their conversation, Emmerdale fans were convinced they heard Charity drop the f-bomb.

Viewers thought Charity had said "f***ked up", leaving them gobsmacked.

Taking to Twitter, one soap fan penned: Did Charity just say 'f***ed it up'?"

Another said: "I'm sure Charity just swore."

A third person posted: "Did she just say 'f***ed it up'?"

What Charity actually said was "sucked it up" in reference to letting Vanessa having quiet birthday celebrations.

She said: "When you said no birthday party I listened.

"Then you said you had to work till lunchtime even though I took day the off and I sucked it up."

The lovebirds were soon worried amid Vanessa's bowel cancer battle, as she received a letter with a date for her operation.

Vanessa has been told that she has got stage three bowel cancer and needs chemotherapy.

The Emmerdale cast member was left upset as her sister Tracy gave her a birthday present to mark the special day while they had lunch in the pub.

Tracy got her a trip for a weekend away, but told her that she had booked it for December, worrying Vanessa as she thought she wouldn't be alive then.
