Emmerdale fans enraged as Mandy Dingle discovers Lydia's mum is still alive but doesn't tell her

EMMERDALE fans are enraged with Mandy Dingle after she discovered Lydia's mum Agatha is still alive but didn't confront her.

The scam artist – who is played by actress Lisa Riley in the ITV soap – followed Lydia's sister Beth home after noticing her make a very dodgy phone call to someone she lived with.

After her initial plan to build a giant platform from patio furniture for Vinny to crawl through a bedroom window failed, the noise drew Beth out of the house.

But as Mandy hid behind a car to avoid being caught, another older woman followed and Mandy listened intently as Beth called her "mum".

Viewers know that Beth and Lydia's mum Agatha is alive and well and Beth just lied wanting to trick Lydia to go away.

But fans were enraged by Mandy not leaping into action and immediately confronting both women.

Instead she simply crouched behind the car and listened.

One fan wrote: "Why didn't Mandy say anything?"

A second voiced hope Mandy would step in: "Know Mandy knows Lydia's mum isn't dead and I have s feeling she won't be happy with that and won't keep that news from Lydia #Emmerdale"

Another added: "Mandy has proof now, take Lydia with you and expose Beth."

Next week it can be revealed that Mandy will finally tell Lydia about what she heard.

She will confront Beth and it will lead to an emotional reunion for Lydia and Agatha after all the tragedy they have both been through.
