Emmerdale fans work out person Cain Dingle and Caleb have held hostage

Emmerdale: Cain Dingle clashes with Will Taylor

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have rumbled who Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) have nailed into a remote farm building.

During Thursday’s hour-long instalment of Emmerdale, the brothers were seen nailing wood over windows in the abandoned Wylie’s Farm on mysterious business.

The two men nailed wood up as a person was trapped inside a room. A mystery person kept banging on the wooden panels as Caleb and Cain returned to their car.

As the banging continued, Caleb simply remarked to Cain: “Temper, temper.”

They drove off as the cameras panned back to show viewers just how remote the location of the farm was.

Will the person trapped inside ever see the light of day again, or are they going to die there?

Fans flocked to Twitter with their theories about who Cain and Caleb had locked up and left for dead.

One fan wrote: “Has to be Harry/Simon as Chas said he’d gone off radar #Emmerdale.”

However, another user wrote: “I bet Cain already knew about Craig #Emmerdale.”

Could Craig Reed (Ben Addis) the rapist have been locked up after Cain and Caleb discovered he attacked Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick)?

After watching the episode, Dylan commented: “That’s Craig banging #Emmerdale.”

Pam shared: “Craig has been attacking women for years…Lydia is definitely not his first victim…and as Kim said…it’s never too late to speak up #Emmerdale.”

Emma remarked: “Surely isn’t Harry… Because he’s definitely out and about during super soap week #emmerdale.”

Cain and Caleb are set to return to the village in upcoming scenes, will all become clear then?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
