EMMERDALE fans think they have worked out who Mackenzie Boyd has saved from death as part of the show's horror Super Soap Week stunt.
Viewers of the ITV soap opera were left on tenterhooks as the show ended on a literal cliffhanger during the epic hour-long episode.
Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) were all caught up in a horror smash that left their car teetering over the edge of a cliff in the Yorkshire Dales.
It appeared to signal an end to their dramatic year-long love triangle which has seen steamy romps, baby shock's and secret engagements all play out in front of the Dales' fans' eyes.
As the car appeared to be seconds from falling over the edge, Mackenzie, who had managed to free himself from the wreck, put one hand out to grab one of his lovers to save them in a heartbreaking twist.
He clenched onto the hand of one of the women before the vehicle seemingly tumbled down to the ground.

Whilst it was not revealed on screen just who he had chosen to bring to safety, fans have given their theory on who it was based on two different 'clues'.
Fans insist that Charity will be the one to survive after Mack appeared to reach out his right hand to grab her – who had been to the right of him in the car.
Writing online, one fan penned: "#Emmerdale he's saved Charity cause it was his right hand and Charity was to the right of him."
Another added: "Charity because it was his right hand!!!"

Others pointed out that the hand he grabbed did not appear to be wearing any nail polish which further sealed the fate of Chloe being left plunging to the ground after she appeared to had a red colour on her nails as she drove.
One commented: "If they’ve got the continuity right it’s Charity’s hand – Chloe had long nails & nail polish on."
Before someone else said: "He saved Charity, Chloe has long painted nails on,it’s on the last promo of them all at the wheel."
Earlier this year, The Sun on Sunday published exclusive photos of the Emmerdale team filming the terrifying stunt.
In the pictures, the car can be seen hurtling to the ground as Charity and Mack stoop at the top of the cliff.
A figure can be seen inside the vehicle – will Chloe survive?
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
