    Romance exposed

EastEnders' Lola and Jay will have their budding romance exposed next week, as the couple look to give their relationship another try.

The lovebirds' secret will be discovered by Lexi, the young daughter of Lola, and she is not impressed at all.

Speaking on the storyline, actress Danielle Harold said: “When Lola first gets back together with Jay, obviously they’ve been through a lot of ups and downs over the years, so she just wants to make sure they’re ok before they tell Lexi and everyone else.

“She wants to see how it goes for them before everyone knows this time. But Lexi does get wind of it and finds out Lola has lied to her and doesn’t take that well at all.”

This new romance will soon be devastated by the shock discovery that Lola has a brain tumour, a revelation that causes their plans to come crashing down in the hit soap.

Corrie fans all have the same complaint

The ITV soap has been criticised on Reddit after one viewer pointed out an excessive amount of mobile phones all using the same ringtone.

Product placement has been allowed in TV shows made for UK audiences since 2011, however, regulator Ofcom applies certain rules.

On a Coronation Street thread, one user asked: “Did anyone else notice the bombardment of product placement in yesterday’s episode?

“So many mobile phones, all the same ringtone and two new phone shops on the street.”

A second user replied: “There’s a lot of prominent EE routers and that big ‘Welcome to Weatherfield’ sign with their logo on it, too.”

Emmerdale superfan slams Dan and Rishi

Reddit user FormerFruit took to social media this week to air their unpopular opinions about the hit soap.

“Dan – What is the point of this guy? Comes off as being some sort of practical joke. Same goes for Rishi Sharma. Pair of morons”, the viewer angrily penned.

Dan and Rishi weren’t the only ones to be slammed, FormerFruit also has a bone to pick with David.

“David is boring. He comes off as being dim and doesn’t contribute anything. Whilst harmless he doesn’t have the substance as other characters. Maybe just in need of some serious storylines.”
