When she arrives home from the consultancy meeting, Rhona lashes out after seeing Mary with Faith in the pub.

In Mary's opinion, this only confirms Marlon's move back home will only increase Rhona's exhaustion.

    Kel Allen clears up rumour

Corrie's Kel Allen has been forced to clear up rumour she's in her 20s – despite playing mum of 16-year-old.

On the soap, Kel plays Laura Neelan, a tragic mum to a 16-year-old, but fans have been astounded after it was claimed the actress could be just 29 years old.

It was claimed online that she was born in 1992, meaning that she would be either 29 or 30 years old this year.

This has shocked fans and they took to Twitter to express their surprise at her age, with one writing: "If she is 28 then she's young to be playing the mother of a teenage daughter!”

While another commented: "I've only recently found out that Kel Allen who plays Laura is only 28 years old. I thought that she was much older than that."

Kel was then left clearing up the confusion and revealed that her name had been mixed up with paralympian Kelly Allen – and that she wasn't in her 20s.

She said: "Some fun facts about moi…

"I'm not 28, throw on another decade! I’m proud to be rocking it for the nana crew! FYI… I'm not a nana, just close to middle age. It's a northern expression of speech.

"Let's do the math, Laura would have given birth to Kelly at the age of 11.

"I never lost an arm in a canoeing accident… touch wood! I'm not an Olympian… if only!

"The moral of the story… don't believe everything you read! Happy Sunday to you."

One wrote: “I’m sorry but wtf is EastEnders doing with Ben… do they think this a good storyline to represent LGBTQ+?

EastEnders Lorraine Stanley unrecognisable in movie with Tom Hardy

Despite her appearing in EastEnders before giving Karen Taylor life, (notably appearing in the show’s Pat and Mo special in 2004), many viewers weren’t yet familiar with Lorraine’s acting chops.

However, Lorraine is an experienced actress on both the small and silver screens.

Her TV credits include appearances in Call the Midwife, Holby City, Casualty, The Bill, and London’s Burning.

As mentioned above, Lorraine has also played in numerous films in the likes of London to Brighton, Made in Dagenham and Suffragette.

But perhaps one of her most surprising jobs was in 2015, when the soap star appeared in the biographical crime thriller Legend, in which A-list actor Tom Hardy played twins Ronnie and Reggie Kray, two of London’s most dreaded gangsters.

While she already looked drastically different in Call the Midwife as Pearl Winston, Lorraine, once again, was unrecognisable in the film while she traded Karen’s iconic messy top bun for the role of a barmaid at the Blind Beggar pub.

in January, 2020, Lorraine showed off a snap from the set of Legend.

Back then, Lorraine was smiling whilst in character and right next to Tom Hardy aka thug Ronnie Kray.

Corrie’s Bill Roache on staying fit at 90

CORONATION Street legend Bill Roache has revealed that the secret to being fit at 90 is going to a weekly exercise class with school games and star jumps.

The cobbles favourite, who celebrates the landmark birthday later this month, credits chasing games like Tag Zombie with kids for his good health.

Bill, who has played Ken Barlow on the ITV soap for over 50 years,
said: “It’s such a lovely group of people of all ages from five to me
at 90. It’s not like going to the gym and doing a heavy serious
workout. It’s called funfit for a reason.

“We play games like tag zombies. It’s like a form of school game,
you’re chasing around. We’re doing things that we enjoy all the time.
      It’s good to be together.

“It hasn’t got that seriousness about working
out and that sort of thing. I’ve always liked to keep fit. I was lucky
      at school.

“I was good at sport and I enjoyed it. I’ve always been very
active and it’s nice being with people who know you and don’t treat
      you any differently.

“We are all just one big gang. Everyone can do all
the exercises at their own pace, rope skipping, star jumps, it’s just
      great fun.”

EastEnders spoilers: Phil Mitchell makes shock decision

Coming up in EastEnders, the tough man makes a shocking decision about DCI Keeble’s offer.

Once his involvement in Vincent Hubbard’s death was revealed, Phil – played by soap legend Steve McFadden – progressively realised he would have no other choice but to face the music.

Phil thus refused an offer made by DCI Samantha Keeble (Alison Newman) who suggested he could become an informant for the police if he chose to roam free.

As residents looking up to him have begun to spiral in Albert Square, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is relieved next week when Phil’s solicitor Ritchie Scott (Sian Webber) confirms he’ll be meeting with Keeble to make a deal.

While at the prison, Phil does meet with Keeble – but will he really become an informant?

Emmerdale spoilers: Meena Jutla horrified as she’s sentenced

Next week in Emmerdale, the criminal is finally sentenced for her long list of crimes.

While some may believe she will manipulate her way out of prison, plan another narrow escape or even die behind bars, her fate is finally sealed in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.

Meena’s sentencing is approaching and despite deliberately staying away from court, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) cannot distract himself.

The village GP is too eager to watch the sinister nurse go down for murdering his daughter Leanna, among other villagers.

But the smug serial killer is in for a nasty shock as she is sentenced for her crimes once and for all.

Meena’s smile is wiped off her face as she realises her manipulative tactics weren’t of any use after all – but how long will she stay behind bars?

As Emmerdale viewers may know, Meena decided to take the stand in previous scenes of the soap as she attempted to convince the jury she was the victim after all.

Unfortunately for her, both Liam and Manpreet took the stand, recalling what she put them through and how she confessed her crimes, taunting them in the process.

Meena’s sentencing could mark the end of a long storyline which began months after her first appearance in the Dales.

Corrie’s Dolly Rose Campbell looks completely different

CORONATION Street star Dolly Rose Campbell has been spotted looking totally different from her soap character Gemma Winter.

The ITV actress – who joined the long-running show in 2014 – has taken a break from the soap to star in a new feature length film.

Dolly, 35, has been seen in a number of behind-the-scenes snaps taken to advertise the film – called Watching Goldfish Suffocate.

The hard-hitting film is due to focus on the effects of mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder and depression.

Dolly is due to play one of the three female lead characters suffering from one of the debilitating conditions.

It will make the Corrie star’s first ever film role – having only portrayed kebab shop worker Gemma on the silver screen.

Inside Emmerdale Belle Dingle star’s private life

Eden Taylor Draper – who has played Belle since joining the show in 2005 aged just 8 – lives a vastly different life to her character.

Despite often being at the centre of the drama, away from the cameras, Eden tries to keep her life much more quiet and calm.

But it hasn't always been easy for the star – who has been helping her sister get through her devastating cancer diagnosis.

Luckily she has support of her own, as Eden is often seen kicking back and relaxing with her long-term boyfriend Ed Lewis.

The pair celebrated their fifth anniversary in January, and have enjoyed plenty of time away travelling together.

Soap awards bosses axe male and female categories

WOKE soap awards bosses have axed male and female categories, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.

Instead of Best Actor and Actress, stars from dramas including EastEnders and Coronation Street will be battling it out for the newly created Best Leading Performer.

The move follows The Brits which scrapped gender classifications this year, with Adele beating Ed Sheeran to Artist of the Year.

The British Soap Awards, hosted by Phillip Schofield, returns this June after a two-year hiatus.

ITV announced news of the gender neutral “refresh” last week.

But a soap source said: “There are genuine fears that it’s going to be even harder for soap actresses to get recognised.

“There are a number of actresses who feel they are going to miss out because of the woke changes.

“It’s going to be interesting to see how it all works out and who makes it on to the short-list.”
