Emmerdale spoilers: Vanessa Woodfield’s fate sealed as Chas Dingle drops cryptic clue?

Emmerdale’s Vanessa Woodfield (played by Michelle Hardwick) is coming to terms with her bowel cancer diagnosis and her recent kidnap ordeal at the hands of Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather). The village vet is trying to keep her diagnosis under wraps but, her loved ones are starting to notice something isn’t quite right with and shockingly one member of the Dingle clan may have foreshadowed Vanessa’s death.

In recent scenes, Vanessa discovered the tragic news while being held captive by Piers.

When her ordeal came to an end, Vanessa told Charity but her sister Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) and Charity’s family are still in the dark.

However, in last night’s instalment Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) commented on Vanessa’s health while the Dingle clan addressed the role Charity played in Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) arrest.

During the night of Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) murder, Charity and Ryan Stocks (James Mootre) stole a huge sum of cash from Graham’s car.

Graham and Ryan had been scamming money from Kim Tate’s (Claire King) account but when Ryan refused to carry out a huge transaction, the former solider turned violent.

He locked Ryan away in a shed and when Charity discovered him she became fixated on getting revenge.

Charity and Ryan keep quiet about the money even when Marlon was arrested but, after discovering the truth, Marlon has washed his hands of his cousin.

In the Woolpack, Charity begged: “Come on Marlon, I’ll make it up to you I’ll do whatever you want.”

“You can’t give me back my reputation or April’s faith in the world,” Marlon hit back.

Turning to Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), Charity quipped: “Look what you’ve done, I hope you’re proud of yourself.”

“Marlon deserved to know the truth,” she replied to which Charity said: “Really, how is this helping anyone?”

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) jumped in: “Why is this on them two anyway, did Vanessa know?”

“You can keep her out of it,” Charity remarked before Marlon added: “Speak up Vanessa, don’t be shy.”

Vanessa admitted she knew and it was why she temporarily separated from Charity but, Marlon had heard enough and stormed out.

As Charity looked towards her family members for support, Chas swiped: “If you weren’t my partner, I’d bar you, no wonder Vanessa looks so ill.”

Has Chas predicted Vanessa’s tragic fate or will the village vet make a complete recovery in the next few months?
