Emmerdales Charley Webb reunites with her former co-stars for Lucy Pargeters birthday

Emmerdale fans were bound to be excited on Tuesday as Debbie Dingle star Charley Webb enjoyed a reunion with some of her former co-stars.

Taking to Instagram, Charley, 34, who is married to David Metcalfe star Matthew Wolfenden, shared a gorgeous selfie with some of her former colleagues to celebrate Lucy Pargeter's 45th birthday.

Writing alongside the snap, the actress wrote: "Happy birthday! @lucyparge" followed with a heart emoji.

Victoria Sugden star Isabel Hodgins also took to Instagram to share a picture of the group brunch as she added the caption: "Birthday girl."

The actress also posted a picture of her incredible pancake stack at brunch for Shrove Tuesday as she captioned it with: "And then it got even better."

It comes after Charley revealed earlier this year that she had quit Emmerdale after 19 years of playing Debbie on the ITV soap.

In January, the actress finally addressed rumours that she had quit the long-running ITV series as she answered a question from a fan during a Q&A session she participated in on Instagram Stories.

Posting a photo of herself with husband and fellow Emmerdale star, Matthew, and their three children Buster, 11, Bowie, six, and Ace, two, Charley explained her decision behind leaving the soap.

“This is always my most asked question but I’ve never answered it before because I’ve never wanted to make a big deal of it,” she captioned.

“I left to have Ace 2 years ago. I went back at the end of last year for 10 weeks to complete a storyline. So, I guess officially it’s been a year.

"I never felt the need to announce it which is why we didn’t.”

It comes as Emmerdale fans were left disappointed on Tuesday night as they were unable to get their soap fix due to a schedule change because of the football.

Due to ITV’s live coverage of the FA Cup, where Peterborough United play Manchester City, it clashes directly with the popular soap with a schedule shake-up this week.

On Monday 28 February, Emmerdale aired for an hour long-special at 7pm, which made up for Tuesday's episode, which was replaced with the football.

On Wednesday 2 March, the episode will air in its usual slot of 7pm. The next day on Thursday 3 March, viewers will have the chance to catch up with the latest village goings on at 7pm.

However, Thursday’s second episode, which usually goes out at 8pm, is cancelled for the Everton versus Boreham Wood game.

Friday 4 March will see another hour-long instalment, as fans count down to the weekend.
