Emmerdale: Mack and Charity meet Chloe’s baby
Paddy Kirk (played by Dominic Brunt) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) are heading for a divorce in Emmerdale after she cheated on him with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) last year.
While the couple are not on the best of terms, they will forever be united by their children.
They have a daughter called Eve (Bella James) but they also had another called Grace who tragically died.
Grace died less than 30 minutes after being born having been diagnosed with a condition called Bilateral Renal Agenesis where the kidneys do not develop.
Chas and Paddy knew she would not survive but there was nothing that would prepare them for the grief which followed.
In upcoming scenes on the ITV soap, Paddy and Chas learn Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) newborn baby Reuben is fighting for his life after being diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.
The terrible news reminds them about losing Grace and their hearts go out to Chloe at this unbearable time.
It brings Paddy and Chas together and they put their differences aside as they share a moment of pain which many people will never understand.

Later on, Paddy is overcome with grief once more when he visits Grace’s tree as he tries to get hold of his emotions over Chloe’s baby.
Will the Emmerdale stalwart be able to cope with his emotions or will he spiral into another deep depression?
Chloe actress Jessie recently opened up to Express.co.uk and other media about Reuben’s heartbreaking storyline.
“She’s struggling with motherhood anyway because she’s in this isolated experience,” Jessie shared.
“She is hard on herself as well and questioning if she could have caught it sooner and if she is doing the right thing even now. It does escalate, so it escalates quite quickly actually.
“That exacerbates it as she is not allowed to be there with him, you can’t even imagine how awful that must be. She has to wait and be by herself.
“She’s terrified because one of the reasons she went ahead with the pregnancy and had Reuben is because she wants to have her own family and someone who is always going to be there for her.
“She’s been through the wringer in terms of family and friends. So this was her whole world and she is now beyond terrified.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
