Emmerdale: Lydia threatens to go to the police
Emmerdale fans could see Sam Dingle (played by James Hooton) seek revenge for his wife Lydia (Karen Blick) in upcoming scenes.
Recently, fans of the ITV soap watched in horror as Lydia was raped by her childhood friend Craig Reed (Ben Addis).
When Craig first arrived in the village, the pair rekindled their friendship and started to grow close, although he took advantage of their bond and sexually assaulted her.
Although she’s kept what’s happened to her a secret, apart from Kim Tate (Claire King) finding out, she’s set to come clean with her family and friends this week.
However, official spoilers for the soap reveal the revelation of what’s happened could take a toll on her marriage with Sam.

In scenes set to air next week, Sam is left deflated when Lydia turns down his offer to spend the day together.
As she wants to stay in to clean the house, he’s feeling lost and helpless and is scared to touch his traumatised wife.
Later on, the police turn up to update Lydia on the situation after she decided to report him for his crime.
When the authorities reveal Craig’s been released pending further investigation, Lydia tries to hide her disappointment as Sam is furious.

Wanting to try and help his wife, Sam invites Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) over to speak to Lydia as she’s been through the same situation before.
At home, Lydia unburdens onto Rhona about how she’s feeling as Sam listens in on their conversation, as seething Craig may walk away unpunished for what he’s done.
Later on in the week, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) tries to support Sam as it’s clear he’s also struggling.
However, with Cain in his ear, Sam is left wondering whether he can be the one to bring Craig to justice.
Will viewers watch Sam take matters into his own hands to avenge his wife?
Actress Karen Blick told Express.co.uk that the aftermath of Lydia telling her family and friends could cause a strain on her relationship.
The soap star said: “She’s terrified this could mean the end of her marriage to Sam which is her absolute world, and the end of the Dingle family, which means so much to Lydia.
“She grew up in care, in isolation, she’s estranged in many ways from her own family so the Dingles are her absolute world.”
Emmerdale continues weeknights on ITV from 7:30pm
