Fans of The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond love to check her social media accounts so see what she’s been up to and learn more about her life on the ranch. One Instagram post of hers got a lot of attention. She recently posted a picture of her husband, Ladd Drummond, and his best friend, Bill. Here are some of the most amusing comments fans left on the Food Network star’s Instagram after she shared the post.
Friendships mean a lot to both Ree and Ladd
Ree and Ladd take their friendships very seriously. In anInstagram post, Ree wrote about the strong friendship she has with Hyacinth, the first friend she made in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Here’s what Ree wrote abouttheir special bond:
Hyacinth was my first friend in Pawhuska, when I was newly married (and newly pregnant, thanks to my honeymoon). In a way, our friendship was preordained, seeing that our husbands’ parents, grandparents, and great grandparents had been friends before us. Hy and I clung together quickly, and as our daughters (and later, sons) became close friends, she and I would marvel that none of us had to like each other, but our hearts just gravitated that way.
Hyacinth is one of the closest and most treasured friendships in my life, and I love her children like my own. Her daughter Meg is getting married in a week, and Alex (maid of honor!) and I threw her a party a couple of weekends ago. The first and last photos sum it all up. Love these women. (Stephen, you’re great, too. Ha!)

Ree Drummond’s fans went crazy over Ladd’s best friend, Bill
When Ree posted a picture ofLadd’s best friend, Bill, her Instagram followers went crazy. Many commented onhow handsome Bill is. Other Pioneer Woman fans made a point to mentiontheir marital status and let Bill know they’re single and ready to mingle. Manycouldn’t believe Bill isn’t married yet. “Bill is single???? Boy is hehandsome!!!!” wrote one excited follower. “Wait. Not married? How did I missthis cute guy?? I lived in Chicago for a long time and thought I dated everysingle guy in that city,” said another person. Here’s what Ree posted aboutLadd and Bill’s friendship:
Bill and Ladd, Ladd and Bill. Friends from college, great friends still. Ladd is married, Bill not so. Ladd lives here, Bill Chicago. Still, when things in life go down—good or bad—Bill comes to town. To celebrate, to laugh, to mourn. Their bond is strong; it can’t be torn. Bill shows, and I see with my eyes how much that trait can mean to guys. Words don’t count like actions do. And one more thing I know is true? I’m grateful Bill is in Ladd’s life. Signed, that handsome cowboy’s wife. (Special shout out to Tony, not pictured…ditto the above!)
