I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is set to have its first campmate evicted from the jungle this evening, it’s been revealed.
The least favourite campmate will leave the show, following viewers’ votes of which contestant they’d like to save.
Friends and family of the celebrity campmates have been jetting into Brisbane airport this week, as they prepare to possibly greet their loved ones after the show’s first eviction of the series, which has returned to Australia after two years.
Those who have flown are staying at the lavish five-star JW Marriott hotel, where they will reside until the final in a few weeks’ time.
A source told The Sun: “The eviction will be bittersweet as it is always sad to see the first celebrity go.
“But it means that family and friends will have the experience of meeting their loved one on the famous bridge in the jungle as the series has returned to Australia.”
Bookies have placed the sports stars of this series, former rugby player Mike Tindall and Lioness star Jill Scott, as joint favourites to the win the show.
Jill’s partner Shelly Unit gave a sweet tribute to the footballer flying in, as she was seen wearing a jumper with the Lioness’ face printed on the front with the slogan: ‘Team Jill’, whilst joined by Babatúndé Aléshé’s sister Funke, who has also arrived in support.
Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver’s husband Brian and son Elliot have also been spotted landing in Australia, as well as Matt Hancock's girlfriend Gina Coladangelo this week.
It is thought that Charlene White is likely to leave following the first vote, after breaking the rules in camp in regards to sleeping arrangements.
The Loose Women star, 42, was selected as deputy camp leader by Matt, 44, which meant she was assigned a comfortable bed next to him in the RV, which she has refused to sleep in.
Co-hosts Ant and Dec went on Instagram Live on Wednesday and said it was "against the rules" as they vowed to tell producers, however cleared Charlene of her rule-breaking in the next episode on Thursday.
Viewers weren’t happy with this, and shared their reactions, as one person tweeted: “Ummm why isn't @CharleneWhite being punished for rule breaking by not sleeping in the RV??? Rules are rules no @imacelebrity??”
A second wrote: "Why is Charlene not being punished for not sleeping in the rv? Thought the show/producers were always so strict with this kind of stuff, but nothing is being done about it”.
