Good Morning Britain viewers were left fuming after watching the show's latest interview with David Hunter.

The pensioner had been imprisoned for 19 months after he helped his terminally ill wife take her own life.

The couple, who had been together since their teens, were residing in Cyprus at the time and since his release, David is campaigning for better assisted dying laws.

Though during David's chat with hosts Ranvir Singh and Ed Balls, ITV viewers were left raging as they constantly "interrupted" the widower.

One said online: "That interview was absolutely awful, was it intended as an interview or just a chance for the presenters to chat about assisted dying.

"That poor man and the trauma he has endured, the least he deserved was to be bloody listened to without being talked over."

A second added: "Absolutely awful not letting David Hunter speak. Constantly interrupting him. Terrible interview. No empathy given!!!!"

While a third penned: "If you’re going to interview him why can’t you just let him tell the story instead of interrupting him all the time? Poor man"

"Really frustrating interview, I know there is a time lapse, but the way they kept talking over him was terrible!" a fourth posted.

A fifth put: "Poor bloke is obviously in bits, and their continued butting in was excruciating."

"Really interested to hear what David Hunter has to say. If only the @gmb presenters would stop interrupting him @itv" a sixth wrote.

David has now decided to move back to the Cyrpus town him and his wife had retired in, but moved to a different property nearby.

The northerner says his new place is just 200m from his wife's grave, which is situated exactly where she wanted to be left after passing away.

David does hope that the British and Cypriot governments can work together on assisted dying legislation as he said he bets he's "not the only one" who has been in this situation.
