GMB host Susanna Reid has been without a permanent replacement to her former co-star Piers Morgan ever since the controversial presenter left the ITV show. However, the broadcaster has reportedly decided to create a “supergroup” rota of stars to replace Piers including Ed Balls, Rob Rinder and Richard Madeley.
The former Shadow Chancellor and Strictly Come Dancing star will join Susanna to host the morning news programme.
Fellow Strictly contestant Rob will also be one of several presenters taking it in turns to present GMB with Piers’ former co-host.
Ed has reportedly been signed up for three days starting on Monday, November 15 while Rob will co-host on Wednesday, November 10 and December 1.
They will join Adil Ray, Alastair Campbell, Richard Madeley and Martin Lewis who have all hosted with Susanna in recent weeks.

“It’s been talked about as a super-group of presenters with different personalities, styles and opinions,” a source said.
“Each brings something fresh to the table and Susanna is the perfect co-host in bringing out their respective qualities.”
GMB’s official Twitter page tweeted the news of Ed and Rob’s appointment on Thursday.
In a clip shared by the page, Susanna asked Rob: “As a criminal barrister, did you ever expect to join me on breakfast television?”
“No comment,” he replied before she quipped: “And the early morning starts?”
“Objection,” he hit back. “I don’t take any nonsense at that hour, Susanna.
“And if a politician refuses to answer any of my questions, all I’m going to say is there will be trouble.”
“I can testify to that,” Susanna remarked. “So what’s your verdict?”

“The jury’s out,” Rob joked. “Find out on Wednesday.”
Sharing his thoughts on joining GMB, Ed told the Mirror: “I always thoroughly enjoy being a guest on Good Morning Britain but I have a sneaky suspicion I’m going to enjoy hosting alongside Susanna even more.
“I was a guest during my stint on Strictly and Susanna and I recreated one of my dance lifts.
“I can reassure everyone that won’t happen again and my feet will be firmly on the ground.”

Rod added: “Being a seasoned barrister will stand me in good stead on the show, demonstrating I’m as comfortable holding politicians to account as I am judging the week’s TV on the Gogglebox sofa.
“Plus, who wouldn’t want the chance to guest present alongside one of their best friends?”
Commenting on the news, Jack Sullivan tweeted: “Love this @GMB pairing already. @RobbieRinder and @SusannaReid100 are best friends, so this should be fun! #GMB.”
“Rob Rinder is awesome, they will make a good team,” Angela Coulter added.
Good Morning Britain airs on ITV on weekdays at 6am.
