Holly Willoughby reveals amazing Christmas trick you can do at home that fires sweets across the room

HOLLY Willoughby had the This Morning crew in hysterics on Tuesday as she shared an amazing Christmas trick to fire sweets across the room.

The TV host showed off her incredible strategy, which co-host Phillip Schofield joked will save you having to get up to pass chocolates round on the big day.

Holly, 40, placed a feather cushion between her legs and piled it with sweets as she prepared to show off her fun party trick to dish out goodies to her family.

It came as she and Phil, 59, chatted to This Morning's bargain hunter Alice Beer about the latest chocolate and sweets selection boxes on offer.

From Quality Street to Heroes, the hosts discussed the contents of the iconic collections, which are popular amongst households during the festive season.

But instead of getting up from her spot on the sofa to hand out the goodies, Holly admitted that she had a clever strategy that fired them around the room.

"When granny is across the room and says ‘You couldn’t pass me a Quality Street could you?’” Phillip introduced the pillow-punching procedure.

Holly then showed viewers of the ITV show how she filled a dent in the pillow with the sweets before punching it hard on either side to make them fly out.

"What you do is, you get yourself a pillow – and it has to be a feather pillow," she began to explain. "Push in the corner, put the chocolate in…

"I’ll try and do it straight down camera two… Are you ready? Catch! Catch!" Holly enthusiastically shouted as she fired sweets to the camera crew.

Behind the scenes, the staff could be seen picking up chocolates from the floor and giggling amongst themselves at Holly's antics.

It comes shortly after Phillip Schofield hijacked the cooking slot to swig whisky from the bottle, leaving viewers in shock.

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall appeared on the show to make his Christmas Tiffin cake, which included a blackberry whisky.

Phil, 59, was desperate to try some so walked over to the kitchen to have a sip – but ended up taking the bottle for "Covid safety".

Holly, 40, who was enjoying a mulled cider, couldn’t stop laughing, as viewers flooded Twitter to share their reaction.

“Holly and Phil living their best lives drinking all the booze at 11am on This Morning is iconic," one wrote, as a second chimed in: "Necking whiskey! Hope you're not driving home Phil."
