HOLLYOAKS fans are convinced Diane Hutchinson was the one who shot Mercedes McQueen after she admitted being at the scene.
The suspicious restauranteur – who is played by actress Alex Fletcher in the Channel 4 soap – looked terrified when Grace Black confirmed the blood found on the door at The Loft wasn't Sylvers.
Grace had hoped to humiliate Mercedes into confessing she had lied about it being Sylver.
Viewers know Sylver is currently being held in custody after Mercedes said he had shot her.
When Diane was caught rushing out by father-in-law Edward he told her she could trust him with whatever it was that was troubling her.
She then admitted to the blood being hers.
Diane told him: "The blood that they found at the loft, it was mine."
While the police have yet to close in on Diane, and they won't unless they have her DNA sample on file, it didn't stop viewers from speculating on what had happened that night.
And they have now decided Diane was the one who shot Mercedes.
One wrote: "I KNEW IT WAS DIANE!!!"
