FORMER Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer revealed he drove 303miles from Cornwall to his Manchester home last night amid the UK's third lockdown.
The 22-year-old, who played Prince McQueen on the Channel 4 soap, left fans confused by his long-distance trip with girlfriend Christelle Armstrong in light of the government's latest travel restrictions.
Yesterday, Malique shared a shot of him posing in front of Polean Farm Cottages in Cornwall on Instagram with the caption: "Can’t stop won’t stop".
Later in the day, the actor took to his Instagram Stories and shared a shot of him behind the wheel of his car, driving to Manchester, with the words, "I'll be back" across it.
Following his lead, Malique's girlfriend Christelle posted the same photo and wrote, "Nice long drive home" while tagging their location as Exeter, Devon.
When contacted by The Sun Online for comment, Malique's rep insisted he travelled "for work".
According to its website, Polean Farm is currently closed to holidaymakers.
But they "are able to accommodate people from Tier 3 areas who are key workers or who need somewhere to live as a main residence or while moving homes."
Brits are currently in their third national lockdown since March 2020 and have to follow strict Covid-19 rules, which include staying at home at all times, unless for work, food, exercise or medical emergencies.
Government guidelines state that you cannot leave your home or the place where you are living for holidays or overnight stays unless you have a "reasonable excuse" for doing so; such as work.
If found breaking this law, police can take action against you and issue a Fixed Penalty Notice of £200 for your first offence then double it for further offences up to a maximum of £6,400.
Last month, the TV star revealed he was part of MTV series Celebs On The Farm alongside Duncan James, Kerry Katona and Montana Brown.
The show was filmed in Yorkshire and is set to hit screens early this year. Malique previously teased his appearance with a series of animal themed snaps back in October on Instagram.
In June, the former I'm A Celeb star was forced to apologise for attending an illegal "quarantine rave" in Manchester where a 20-year-old died.
In a now-deleted Instagram video, he said: "First of all, I apologise to anyone I may have offended, but let me just get one thing straight.
"I've got family members that have actually passed away from this coronavirus. So yo, I am in this as well. So don't go on at me like I am not in this as well.
"But it's funny how everyone is never saying anyone positive about me. It's always bad boy Malique this…
"They never want to say anything positive and it's funny because at least I am not out there p***ing on war memorials. Racist c***s."
The Government banned mass gatherings at the start of the coronavirus outbreak in a bid to slow the spread of the disease.
Greater Manchester Police said that at its peak 4,000 people were at the illegal lockdown party.
Malique filmed himself walking through a forest towards the underground party in Daisy Nook Park, Failsworth.
