Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has announced that she is expecting a baby boy.
The actress, who plays Theresa McQueen on the Channel 4 soap, said that she and fiancee Ollie Piotrowski are ‘thrilled’.
‘Ollie and I didn’t mind either way, of course,’ she told Hello! magazine. ‘All we wanted was a baby.
‘He’s certainly very active, and I can feel him doing somersaults and backflips. It’s incredible to think what we’ve created.’
Jorgie opened up earlier this year about her devastating quadruplets miscarriage, having discovered during her 14-week scan in August 2021 that she had miscarried.
The following February, she and Ollie learned of their second miscarriage at six weeks into pregnancy – on the day of their engagement party, which Jorgie said was ‘devastating’.
‘But I felt we had to go through with the party as we were in a room full of friends and family who love us,’ she explained.
‘It was so hard not telling anyone, but we knew we’d have their support when we told them later.’
Jorgie, 33, first shared in June that she and Ollie were expecting a baby.
The soap star, at the time, posted the most adorable video to reveal a picture of her scan, with her and Ollie removing their hands from the photo one at a time, before their dog was the final family member to remove his paws, showing the black and white ultrasound in all its glory.
Jorgie – who first appeared in Hollyoaks in 2008 – added a piano cover of Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley in the background – the perfect song choice for her sweet news.
The official Hollyoaks account also shared her video, with the soap overjoyed for the Theresa McQueen actress.
