House-hunting Katie Price faces battle to pay off debts before she can flog her mucky mansion

HOUSE-HUNTING Katie Price can’t flog her "Mucky Mansion" without paying off a string of debts, The Sun can reveal.

The pin-up, 43, is looking to buy her current rental pad – after seemingly reuniting with fiance Carl Woods.

The Sun was first to reveal her whopping £1.5million property offer last week.

Yet Katie owes a total of £3.2million and has several notices on the deeds of her Mucky Mansion property lodged at the Land Registry

She paid £1.35m for the Sussex pad in 2014.

Notices have now been placed on the property by two mortgage companies and the documents also have bankruptcy restrictions.

That means that as well as paying the outstanding mortgage loans, she must also hand over proceeds to creditors.

One restriction reads: “BANKRUPTCY RESTRICTION entered under section 86(4) of the Land Registration Act 2002, as the title of the proprietor of the registered estate appears to be affected by a bankruptcy order made by the High Court of Justice against Katie Price also known as Katrina Amy Alexandra Alexis Price (Land Charges Reference.)

“No disposition of the registered estate is to be registered until the trustee in bankruptcy of the property of the bankrupt is registered as proprietor of the registered estate.”

The mum of five has made an offer on a new £1.5million Surrey house despite saying the Mucky Mansion is her “forever” home after she starred in a Channel 4 programme about its renovation.

Katie's journey to renovate her Sussex property was documented for the show and cost an estimated £28k.

Yet it seems that glamour model Katie wants a fresh start as she's looking to buy the Surrey home she's been renting for two years.

A source said: “She's told the landlord that if they're selling, she wants to buy the house.

“She's told them she's in a very different position money-wise to two years ago and wants a fresh start.

“She thinks the Mucky Mansion is cursed and loves the Surrey house.”

Katie moved into the Surrey house in 2020 as renovations on the Mucky Mansion started.

The Sun previously revealed that the property was being sold with Katie forced to move out.

But it seems the sale fell through, leaving the mum-of-five determined not to have to move again.

Katie showed off the results of her Mucky Mansion's renovation on the C4 show and insisted it was now her "happy" home.

"The journey of this house hasn't just been about me, it's been about the journey of my kids, my mum, my sister," the star told the cameras.

"I've put my touch on it, and so have my family. But this just goes to show you can turn things around, and I'm really proud of what I have achieved."
