BBC has just confirmed an October release date for the new upcoming drama series – Ridley Road.

How many episodes of Ridley Road and is it available to watch on BBC iplayer?
The program will air on Sunday, October 3 at 9pm on BBC1.
There will be four one hour episodes in total – the series will finish on October 24.
Episodes will also be available on the BBC iPlayer.
What is Ridley Road about and is it a true story?
Ridley Road's follows the story of a young Jewish woman named Vivein Epstein.
It shows her journey as she goes undercover inside a fascist organisation in the 1960s.
Agnes O’Casey takes the lead role as Epstein along with other well-known casts, featuring Eddie Marsan, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Tamzin Outwaite and Rory Kinnear.
The series is in fact based on real life history.
It follows the Ridley Road novel by Jo Bloom, which was published in 2015, with an adaptation announced as far back as August 2019.
Although there will be elements of real history, the main character and plot are fictional.
Epstein – The protagonist joins the Group 62 to fight fascism – which was a real organisation.
Rory Kinnear will be playing the role of the real-life fascist David Jordan in the series.
Filming for the production started all the way back in 2019 but came to halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
By September 2020, filming eventually started again, finishing in time for a late release date in 2021.
