A HOLLYWOOD superstar worth millions has opened up on being so homeless and hungry that she’d crash weddings just so she could eat.

Tiffany Haddish, 43, said she used to live in her car and the only way she’d be able to get food was by nabbing free meals at weddings.


The star, who currently has an Apple TV+ series out named The Afterparty, said she’d go to the weddings with a plan, and mainly focused on ones taking place at a hotel in Westchester, which is in the Westside Region of Los Angeles County.

The 43-year-old actress has been promoting the second series The Afterparty, when the topic of nuptials came up.  

Tiffany said to People: “'I've crashed weddings before, given a speech and didn't know anybody there.

“That’s when I was homeless and hungry.

“I would have two or three drinks, and then I would grab the microphone and be like, ‘I just want to say that you are the most beautiful couple.’

“Everybody would be looking at me like, ‘Who is this Black girl at our wedding?’”

Tiffany is a comedian and actress most noted for her performance in Girls Trip.

At the tender age of nine, the star's mother was diagnosed with mental illness after a car accident, which saw Haddish go into foster care.

After she graduated from high school, Tiffany hit rock bottom as she was homeless and lived in her car for a period of time.

She got her early start in TV, the stand-up comedian appeared on shows such as That's So Raven, My Name is Earl and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

After guest-starring in several television series, she gained prominence for her role as Nekeisha Williams on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show.

She would also have recurring roles in the BET reality-TV spoof Real Husbands of Hollywood on which Kevin Hart was an executive producer.

In 2017, Tiffany won a Primetime Emmy Award for her work as a host on a Saturday Night Live episode, and published a memoir, The Last Black Unicorn.
