I'M A Celeb star Giovanna Fletcher sent her family a secret signal during last night's launch show, it has been revealed.

Now her husband, McFly's Tom Fletcher, is concerned the move could land her in "trouble" with show bosses.

Appearing on This Morning earlier today, Tom revealed that Giovanna held her thumb to her nose and wiggled her fingers to send a secret hello to their kids Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two, while they watched at home.

But his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter, who won the show in 2011, chimed in to say "Oh you get in trouble for that", leaving Tom looking horrified and asking "Oh, no. do you?

    TESS CRIED WHILE WATCHING VERNON

Strictly's Tess Daly admitted that she cried as she watched last night's episode of the new I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Husband and presenter Vernon Kay is one of the contestants living in Gwrych Castle, Abergele, Wales.

The mum-of-two took a photograph of her husband with the TV at the family home where she was watching the show with their children.

    WOODN'T BELIEVE IT

Ant McPartlin and Declan Connelly obviously could not have been happier to be back hosting I'm A Celeb.

The long-time pals joked about contestants having to chop up their own firewood to keep warm for the hit show – when Ant crossed over into the risque.

Dec told viewers: “We've had a lot of cold weather, it's been very wet and rainy so I think it's going to be very difficult to get wood.”

Ant quickly shot back: “Speak for yourself!”

Fans loved the banter between the pair, with one tweeting: “I’ve missed Ant and Dec’s jokes so much.”

AJ PRITCHARD STUNS FANS WITH BATH SCENE

I'm a Celebrity's new shower has been christened by AJ Pritchard – and he got completely naked for it, stunning fans.

The Strictly star bravely stripped off for the first go in the castle's version of the jungle's waterfall.

Set in a dingy room in the castle, an ancient bathtub stands with a grimy shower curtain.

Next to it is a handpump where the celebrities will need someone else to lend a hand so they can have – cold – water in their shower.

In last night's launch episode AJ bravely opted to go first and showed off his dance-honed body in the process.

    CASTLE HAUNTED BY SERVANT?

Some locals believe that the spirit of a servant girl who died falling off a horse haunts the land of Gwrych Castle, where I'm a Celeb is being filmed in Wales.

Others have claimed that ghosts of former caretakers have been seen around the 200-year-old castle, which boasts 250 acres.

Paranormal investigator Gemma Williams told the Daily Mail that she was “chased by a glowing woman wearing a red dress” when she stayed overnight there.

She said: “My friends and I stood there in absolute shock looking at her.”

The ghost of the Countess of Dundonald, below, is also said to haunt the grounds.

    HISTORY OF GWRYCH CASTLE

Gwrych Castle was built in Wales between 1810 and 1825 by Lloyd Hesketh Bamford-Hesketh.

The castle played an important role in World War II, as the Government used it to house 200 Jewish refugees.

It also served as the training grounds for English World Middleweight boxing champion Randolph Turpin in the early 1950s.

The 10 I'm a Celeb campmates – including Sir Mo Farah, Beverley Callard and Vernon Kay – will eat, sleep, wash and compete in the 'haunted' castle.

Ant and Dec opened the show from inside the grounds on Sunday night, where they stood behind an old wooden table covered with golden goblets, and flanked by two suits of armour.

    VICIOUS VIPERS

Shane Richie and Jordan North have been voted by the public to take on the first I’m A Celebrity bushtucker trial.

The EastEnders actor and the Radio One DJ will take on the Viper Vault.

They will be sealed in coffins full of slithering snakes with a series of safes to crack to win stars for the camp.

I'M A CELEB 'BETTER THAN EVER'

Thrilled I'm a Celeb fans have given last night's launch a huge thumbs-up, saying it was “better than ever”.

Filmed amid the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, Ant and Dec kicked off the 20th series by declaring: “It feels so good saying these magic words …”

Viewers at home were amazed, as one tweeted: “I think I actually prefer imaceleb in the castle.”

Another penned: “Just caught up on imaceleb and it’s just as good in the castle! Can confirm I will be obsessed with this for the next few weeks. Love it!”

    KEEP THEM OUT OF THERE!

I'm a Celebrity hired 40 security guards and roads surrounding Gwrych Castle were closed ahead of Sunday's show's launch.

A legion of former special forces troops were deployed in Abergele, North Wales, to stop intruders snooping at the Welsh castle.

Guards with night-vision goggles watched from places in the forest surrounding Gwrych Castle to spot nosey locals.

Meanwhile, paths that lead to the 4,000-acre estate were blocked to stop local ramblers stumbling onto the million-pound set.
