Im A Celebrity chaos as Grace Dent sensationally quits after one week

Grace Dent has quit I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after one week in camp.

The 50 year old food critic has left the ITV show on "medical grounds", ITV bosses announced in a statement on Monday, 27 November.

A show spokesperson said: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."

Grace, who is the first contestant to leave on this year's series of I'm A Celeb, admitted during Friday's (24 November) episode that she'd "had enough" and "wanted to go home".

Shortly before taking part in the Touchdown of Terror trial, Grace told her campmates: “I’ve had enough. I’ve completely had enough. I just want to go home.”

Josie Gibson attempted to encourage her, saying: “It’ll be good for you. What an experience.”

Moments later in the Bush Telegraph, Grace then admitted: “I haven’t got a lot left in me at the moment. I’m just keeping on a face for everybody."

Viewers then expressed concern for Grace's wellbeing during Sunday's (26 November) episode of I'm A Celeb, as she appeared "zoned out".

Ant and Dec entered camp at the end of the episode to tell the campmates who would be facing the next trial, revealing Grace and Josie had received the most votes from the public.

Upon hearing the news, Grace's face remained unchanged while Josie let out a scream. Grace seemed upset or irritated about taking on the task, and she didn't say anything, while some of her campmates immediately got up to comfort her.

Fans took to social media to share their concern for Grace, with one writing on X: "I'm getting worried for Grace."

Another viewer commented: "A bit worried about Grace Dent," while a third said: "I can see Grace leaving the camp soon, she looked so depressed and zoned out."

Ahead of her appearance on the ITV show, Grace, who is expected to fly back to London shortly, admitted she was "dreading" being hungry in camp

She said: “Everything is filling me with a real sense of dread, but I am especially dreading being really hungry because I tend to eat four or five posh meals out a week because I am a restaurant critic."
