Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Judi Love joined the panel on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women. The ITV hosts, who openly discuss their personal lives on the daytime show, had remained tight-lipped about Coleen’s new beau, Michael Jones, whom she met on the popular online dating app, Tinder. Best friend and co-star Ruth Langsford played a prank on the 56-year-old presenter after she tricked her into thinking Michael was backstage waiting to be interviewed leaving Coleen flustered.

The Nolans singer had tried to keep her new relationship discreet until recently when the loved-up pair cosied up together in a photoshoot for OK! magazine.

Keen to put her on the spot, Ruth told Coleen: “Well listen, you’ve obviously done your interview for OK! magazine, your first magazine interview, what you haven’t done is your first television interview together.”

Struggling to keep her composure, Coleen pleaded: “No! Please don’t, don’t do this!”

The Loose Women panellist then hid her face flat between her arms.

Ruth grinned: “Obviously if you were going to do that, it would have to be here on Loose Women.”

“No, you haven’t done that,” Coleen said while she nervously fanned herself with her cue cards. “I’m mortified and I’m absolutely dying.”

“So we did think, surprise! Surprise!” Ruth announced. “Please welcome Michael to the show!”

In the studio, Cilla Black’s theme song from Surprise! Surprise! began to play whilst an unknown gentleman, who was dressed in black, came out holding a stool and walked up to the desk.

Before Coleen reluctantly pointed out to ITV viewers: “That’s not Michael. No, you haven’t really [invited him on the show].

“Oh my god, I feel sick. I feel absolutely sick.”

The 61-year-old co-host laughed: “I said [to the crew] are you sure [you want to prank her] because I think she might faint.

In jest, comedian Judi asked Coleen: “And you want her [Ruth] to be your bridesmaid, yeah?”

Janet quipped: “That’s her trying to be chosen as your bridesmaid, now, at this end of the desk just remember, the two nice people who didn’t play that nasty trick on you.”

The former Celebrity Big Brother star told OK! magazine she discusses marriage with her new partner “all the time” describing it as “inevitable”.

The 56-year-old TV personality has been wedded twice before with musician Ray Fensome and soap star Shane Richie.

Coleen’s new boyfriend was revealed to be a fellow divorcee and the lovebirds have discussed how they are enjoying blending their families together and planning to walk down the aisle.

Opening up about their relationship, Coleen has praised her non-celeb partner, who works in logistics for a supermarket chain, for keeping her “calm”.

On their first date, the cosy couple explained how they met for a drink in a pub at 5 pm and stayed there downing drinks before they were “kicked out” by staff after 11 pm.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
