And to nobody’s surprise fans couldn’t believe their eyes – it’s been rare to find the entire cast of Friends in the same room together, but it’s finally happened.

What a way to make a fashionably late arrival to everyone’s favourite social media platform.

As the number of likes continued to reach new heights – surpassing 4 million after six hours – fans had weighed in on Jennifer’s reunion with her Friends cast.

One wrote: "I think you may just break the internet here Jen. Welcome welcome welcome."

Another commented: "OMFG THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE".

While fellow actress Reese Witherspoon said: "YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!!"

While Jen had never been a huge fan of social media, she previously told Entertainment Tonight that the good outweighs the bad when it comes to the app.

She explained: "You can actually have a little bit more control over the narrative that's out there."

"[You can] right some wrongs and some silly things that, God knows, are said often."

It was just last month when Friends celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The sitcom became a monumental staple for NBC, earning the cast millions and ultimately becoming one of the most popular sitcoms ever created.

To mark the 25th anniversary, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer all took to their social media accounts to post some very heartfelt tributes.

"Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago," Schwimmer gushed to his followers. "THANK YOU to all the fans out there!! We couldn't have done it without you.”

Lisa continued: "We might be in different places but we are connected,” while her former co-star LeBlanc shared: "Seems like yesterday. Thanks to all the fans for watching."
