Piers Morgan dramatically left Good Morning Britain following his Meghan Markle outburst as he stated he did not believe she received no help for her struggles with her mental health. The presenter has plenty of options as to where he could go next and some have suggested he could appear as a host on GB News.
GB News is the new news channel set to launch later this year, but there has been no confirmation when exactly this could be.
The new channel, which has been called the British Fox news, already has many big presenters joining the team.
Notably, Andrew Neil joined the platform as the chairman of the television news broadcaster.
Now followers have taken to social media to make their own suggestions on who should join the growing British broadcaster.
Is Piers Morgan joining GB News?
Taking to Twitter, journalist Alex Webb messaged the former GMB presenter with their suggestion.
He wrote: “Maybe [Piers Morgan] would help GB News reach a massive audience, but his £2m paycheque would take a huge chunk out of the station’s tightly managed budget.”
Morgan was quick to respond, retweeting the comment with a sarcastic reply.
He said: “It would take a much bigger chunk than that… (said ‘sources close to Morgan’).”

It’s clear from Morgan’s response, it’s unlikely he will be joining GB News anytime soon.
Last month, Andrew made it clear he would welcome Piers onto the news channel.
He told BBC News: “[Good Morning Britain] had always lagged way behind the BBC breakfast time show and people tuned in because of him.
“It reminded me of the old days of Newsnight. People tuned in if Jeremy Paxman was doing it. If he wasn’t doing it, it wasn’t so exciting and the same is true of GMB.”
He went on to say he would like Morgan to join the news channel but confirmed there have been no talks about him signing up.
He explained: “Piers would be a huge asset to GB News and we’ll definitely look at that.
“We haven’t started any negotiations yet but we would certainly be delighted to talk to him if he’s up for it.”
It still isn’t clear what news broadcaster Morgan will go to next, having left GMB last month in March.
Who has joined GB News so far?
Simon McCoy recently revealed he would be stepping away from the BBC after nearly 18 years, fronting an afternoon programme for the channel.
Colin Brazier will anchor GB News’ daytime news after leaving Sky News and former The Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry will host an evening primetime show on weeknights.
Darren McCaffrey will be the political editor, coming from Euronews and Tom Harwood will be political correspondent.
Also joining the broadcaster is Dan Wootton from The Sun, Journalist Inaya Folarin Iman and The Telegraph’s Alex Phillips.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am to 9pm
