The Two Popes had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on August 31, 2019.

In September 2019, the Toronto International Film Festival also screened the movie.

It will be shown on limited release in the USA on November 27, 2019 as well as in the UK on November 29, 2019.

But fret not, everyone can enjoy it come December 20, 2019, when it will be available to stream on Netflix.
