Jack P Shepherd pulls up to Coronation Street set in £50k Maserati as soap stars return to work – The Sun

CORRIE star Jack P Shepherd has returned to work on set, rocking up in his £50k Maserati.

The actor cruised back to the cobbles in his sleek black Ghibli motor and couldn't be missed as he parked up at the ITV studios.

The soap supremo has had the M-plate vehicle since 2017 and still appears to be loving driving the expensive vehicle.

Other stars were seen arriving in their swanky vehicles to the set of Corrie including Tina O'Brien, Abi Franklin and Sally Dynevor.

Shepherd was recently seen driving his £41,000 Mustang to Sainsbury's after shopping with his girlfriend Hanni.

The loved-up pair were spotted in the impressive car while in lockdown.

While David Platt has been through a lot over the last few years, the big storylines have kept Jack P Shepherd in the soap since he was 12.

And the soap stalwart has a whopping price tag – Jack’s believed to be earning around £250,000 a year.

The Corrie actor, 32, had been growing a beard since March when production on the ITV soap halted during the coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, the TV star shared several videos of him trimming his lockdown facial hair before finishing his stories with a post-shave clip.

Although some maybe be sad to see his lockdown look go, fans of the soap will be delighted to know that filming is underway for the ITV favourite.

Jack has been keeping his followers entertained throughout the pandemic with hilarious videos on his Instagram during lockdown.

Bosses had been rationing pre-recorded episodes to just half of the weekly amount to ensure that they didn't run out, with the new episodes set to hit our screen next month.

Last week, photos of the socially-distanced set were revealed as filming resumed, with all of the cast and crew at least two metres apart while filming.

There was also yellow tape forming a barrier between the stars and crew, with limited staff on set – and cameramen using extendable equipment to avoid getting too close to the cast.

And while Jack is still whizzing around in his prized motor, co-star Alan Halsall has just got rid of his £175,000 supercar – because his daughter’s getting too big to fit in the back.

The Tyrone Dobbs actor picked up the keys for the bright red Mercedes AMG GTC as he still reeled from his break-up from wife Lucy-Jo Hudson and told fans: “You can’t buy happiness but you can buy a new car and that’s kind of the same thing.”

The actor – who also has a Harley Davidson motorbike – had toyed with trading his previous Mercedes convertible in for a Ferrari, but fell in love with the 189 mph GTC.

But just a year on, he’s opting for a more practical motor and told fans: “It’s time for a change.”

Actors have now returned to filming after production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As result of the time lost, some budding storylines have now had to be scrapped as writers were forced to change their plans.

Iain MacLeod, an executive producer, told the Mirror: "There were a few that featured cast that are no longer available.

"A few where we have had to press pause on and hopefully we'll resume those as quickly as possible."

So which plots got scrapped? One includes a Hollywood-style stunt that was planned for the soap's 60th anniversary.

Several storylines were expected to reach their climax on the special date, but the coronavirus meant it was no longer feasible.

Meanwhile, in the soap, Shona Ramsey asks David Platt to have sex with her to help her remember her relationship next week in Coronation Street.

Shona – who is played by Julia Goulding on the ITV soap – is currently suffering from memory loss. But will the couple get back together – or will Shona’s experiment only end in tears?
