JAMES Martin has sparked concern among his followers after admitting he is already back at work just weeks after he confirmed he would take a career break following his cancer diagnosis.
The TV chef, 51, revealed his illness earlier this year but admitted it had first been detected in 2018 and he has undergone a series of operations since then.
At the beginning of this month, James told theatregoers at one of his live shows in Liverpool that now was the right time to 'take a break' and to focus on his health.
According to The Mirror, James told the crowd at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall: "On a personal note, I just wanted to say thank you for 30 years of television.
"For me personally, I've been through a lot of s*** with cancer but I'm getting sorted at the end of next month.
"I will be back fighting at the end of February but I'm going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted."

James, who is currently on tour with The James Martin Band, added: "I just wanted to say thank you for all your support and all your messages."
However, despite his clear statement and seemingly being 'replaced' on ITV, James has shared a post on Instagram to confirm he is already working on the next series of his Saturday Morning show for the channel.
The ingredients needed for his day's cookery session could be seen laid out on the worktop as he captioned his post: "We’re back! Full day filming @saturdayjamesmartin and to the local for one."
It has seen his proposed three month break turn into less than three weeks off.
