Jim Carrey slammed for 'sexually assaulting' Alicia Silverstone when she was 19 after ripping Will Smith's Oscars slap

JIM Carrey has been accused of "sexually assaulting" Alicia Silverstone when she was just 19.

The comedian, 60, kissed the then-teenage actress full on the mouth while accepting his Best Comedic Performance gong at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards.

Jim's past actions have resurfaced online after he slammed "sickening" Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars on Sunday.

A video showed Jim, then 35, walking up to the stage to accept the award for his role in Cable Guy from Alicia, who had presented it.

He grabbed the Clueless star's face with both hands and planted a kiss on her mouth.

They then broke away and Alicia, now 45, stepped awkwardly to the side, looking somewhat shaken.

In his speech, Jim recited lyrics from George Thorogood & The Destroyers song Bad to the Bone into the microphone and then burped.

Later at the same awards show, he also tried to kiss Will, 53, after he was announced as the winner of the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Kiss.

Will laughed and pushed Jim off while making his way to the stage to collect his trophy.

Critics called Jim a "hypocrite" and "scum" for calling Will out when he himself had "sexually assaulted" Alicia onstage.

One tweeted: "In that case, Jim Carrey should be jailed for sexually assaulting a teenage Alicia Silverstone on stage at the 1997 MTV Awards, and then also trying to sexually assault Will Smith at the same awards show."

Another added: "It's amazing that Jim Carrey sexually assaulted Alicia Silverstone by physically forcing her to kiss him on national TV and it had literally no impact on his career whatsoever.

"He's such a complete piece of s**t on so many levels."

A third posted: "He forcibly kissed Alicia Silverstone AND also tried to do the same thing to Will Smith.

"Regardless of age or age gaps, what Jim Carrey did was ASSAULT. He's scum and he had no business forcing himself on people!"

CONDEMNING WILL

The backlash comes just days after Jim condemned Will's slap to Good Morning America journalist Gayle King.

"I was sickened, I was sickened by the standing ovation," the Ace Ventura star said during the virtual interview.

"I felt like Hollywood is just spineless, en mass. It really felt like a really clear indication that we're not the cool club anymore."

Gayle then mentioned viewers' concerns over how the situation played out and why security did not intervene.

The LAPD later confirmed that Chris would not be pressing charges over the matter, though Jim feels Will should be punished.

"He doesn't want the hassle. I [would have] announced this morning that I was suing Will for $200million because that video's gonna be there forever. It's gonna be ubiquitous," Jim said.

"You know, that insult is gonna last a very long time. If you want to yell from the audience and disapprove or show disapproval or say something on Twitter or whatever, you know.

"You do not have the right to walk up on stage and smack somebody in the face because they said words."

SHOCKING SLAP

Will, 53, shocked audience members and viewers at the Oscars when he slapped Chris for making a joke about his wife Jada's shaved head.

The standup comic referenced Jada's shaved head, saying: "Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it."

Matrix actress Jada, who first revealed she suffered from hair loss condition alopecia in 2018, rolled her eyes at the joke and looked upset – which appeared to prompt Will into action.

Stars including Nicole Kidman and Lupita Nyong’o looked horrified as he stormed the stage and hit the presenter hard across the face.

The Fresh Prince star then walked back to his seat as a stunned Chris said: "Will Smith just smacked the s**t out of me."

Will yelled at the comedian: "Leave my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth."

Chris looked visibly shaken and said: "Wow, dude, it was a G.I. Jane joke," to which Will repeated, "Keep my wife's name out your f**king mouth!"

Chris said, "I'm going to, okay?" before adding, "That was the… greatest night in the history of television."

It is believed that Chris has not spoken to Will since the incident.

Will finally apologized to Chris almost a full day after the incident, calling his actions "unacceptable and inexcusable".

In a statement released on March 30 to the Hollywood Reporter, reps for the Oscars revealed that "disciplinary hearings" have begun over the on-stage incident regarding Will.
