A LEGENDARY singer who played with Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner has died aged 72.
John Miles, who sang Music Was My First Love And It Will Be My Last, died peacefully in his sleep, his management said.
John's management paid tribute to the "kind" and "gentle" grandad him in a statement.
They said: "John was not only so kind and gentle but a brilliant musician and songwriter on the world stage."
His number one hit Music in 1972 became hymn of Night of the Proms.
He went on to attend the event almost every year.
In the latter part of his career he worked as Tina Turner's regular guitarist before touring with Joe Cooker and Stevie Wonder.
