Jonathan Ross's late mother was actually an EastEnders actress.
It’s a little known fact that Rossy’s mum, Martha Ross, appeared in Albert Square from the show’s inception in 1985 all the way until 2006 where she played a market stallholder.
Martha, who passed away in 2019 aged 79, was also an actress in Grange Hill, The Sean Hughes Show and Barrymore, as well as being a radio presenter.
She also presented a current affairs show on Liberty Radio.
Jonathan's beloved Martha did not have her ‘Enders contract continued though after she gave away a Christmas storyline by telling her other son, Paul, which he then blabbed on his own LBC show.
Martha died after a battle with cancer and Jonathan, 60, has spoken publicly about his heartbreak.
He said that the family thought she had a form of the disease that was “liveable with”.
Speaking on Loose Women Jonathan, who is currently a judge on The Masked Dancer, said: "What's awful is that I did see her shortly before her death but then…

"I feel bad because everyone said, 'Oh, we will all go and see her'.
"And I said, 'let’s not all go and see her today because then there is no one going to see her tomorrow. Let’s spread it out during the week. Who can only go today?'

Jonathan’s mum wasn’t the only other member of the illustrious family to be involved in showbiz.
His wife Jane Goldman was a successful entertainment journalist and is now a highly sought after screenwriter with movies such as Kingsman, The Secret Service, X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past to her name.
As well as his brother Paul, Jonathan’s daughter Honey, 24, is making a name for herself as an activist and influencer.
She is particularly vocal about body positivity and loves posting candid images of herself celebrating her curves and shape.
Honey is also anti-diet, telling Loose Women in 2020: "I have parents who were raised in the same society as all of us.
"They saw me, a teenage girl coming home saying, 'I hate my body'.
"They tried to give me solutions to a problem I brought to them, which was to lose weight. They presented me with diets and diets, as we know, don’t work and are absolutely toxic.”
Honey added: "I think fat is a good word, from the age of 18 I turned my views around and am comfortable in my fat body.
"You can be fat and happy!"
