Katie Price's kids Princess and Junior pay touching tribute to their nan on her birthday amid terminal lung illness

KATIE Price's kids Princess and Junior paid a touching tribute to their nan on her 69th birthday.

Their grandma Amy has been battling a very serious illness since she was diagnosed with idopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017.

Today marks her 69th birthday and her two grandchildren took to Instagram to send their best wishes.

Princess, 14, shared a stunning snap of Amy looking glam with a face full of make-up and another of her with her grandma, mum Katie and auntie Sophie.

The teen captioned the post: "Happy birthday Nan! I love you so much ❤️."

Meanwhile her brother Junior, 16, also took to his social media to acknowledge his nan's special day.

He shared a post that his auntie Sophie posted onto his Instagram Story and wrote: "Happy bday nan, I love you so much."

Amy has been battling the terminal lung illness over the past four years.

Idopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which currently has no cure, causes scarring to the lungs which reduces the sufferer's ability to breathe.

Last month Katie revealed she has offered her mum her lung as she is still waiting for a transplant as she battles a terminal disease.

She recently told Simon Thomas on his Life, Interrupted podcast: "My mum, she's never smoked, [she's] always been healthy. She got told a couple years [ago], coming up to three years, that she would have three to five years left of her life. You know, it's gonna happen.

"She still does a spinning classes. She's got like 34 per cent left of her lung capacity, so she has started oxygen, which isn't nice to see because I, in my head, it's that once you start the oxygen and you need that, you know it's coming.

"So she's waiting to see if she can have a lung transplant. I even offered my lung to her."

Back in April Katie paid tribute to her "beautiful" mum Amy, who "doesn’t have long to live" and told her she loves her "to the moon and back".

Earlier this year Katie revealed Amy only had 32 per cent lung capacity and doesn't have long left to live.

The star appeared on Northen Ireland's Nolan Live and revealed her mum's condition had deteriorated and is holding out hope for a lung transplant to prolong her life.

Amy spoke out about the difficulties she faced during the coronavirus lockdown last year.

She told Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan and Susannah Reid that she has "no hope" of surviving if she catches Covid or even a cold.

Amy said: "I'm very up and down really, to be honest with you.

"Obviously it's terminal and I should imagine I'm in the last couple of years now. What with Covid and everything, if I catch a cold or Covid there's just no hope, so that would be the end of it for me.

"But positively, I'm hoping, I'm pushing to see if I can get on the transplant list.

Shortly after her diagnosis in 2017, Amy bravely opened up about the terminal lung disease diagnosis on Loose Women, and said she could only have two to three years to live.

Katie shares Junior and Princess with her ex husband Peter Andre.

She is also mum to Harvey, 19, who she shares with Dwight Yorke, and seven-year-old Jett and Bunny, six, with ex Kieran Hayler.
