KATIE Price's mucky mansion went up in flames last night as firefighters tackled a blaze at her "cursed" home.
Neighbours were convinced her house in West Sussex was burning down and firefighters rushed to the scene with blue lights flashing and sirens wailing.
The side of the £2 million house appeared to go up in flames after a caretaker built a bonfire right next to the side of her home.
A source exclusively tells The Sun Online: "Katie was horrified when she was called about the fire – apparently the caretaker built a huge fire right next to the house, and when it went up the side of the house was covered in flames.
"It was a huge fire – a neighbour called the fire brigade thinking the house was burning down.
"It was put out in the end but you could see the smoke billowing across the road.
"It's the last thing Katie needs – she says the house is cursed."
Katie's representative tells The Sun Online: "I can confirm there was a fire on the grounds but no serious damage to the building.
"Eyewitnesses reported to the emergency services that the the house was on fire but thankfully it was brought safely under control before any serious damage was done to the building."
Earlier this year, a former caretaker laid bare the squalid conditions at her mucky mansion, which he says was littered with decaying takeaways and piles of dog poo.
Charlie Farthing told The Sun Online how the star slept on a mattress on the floor of the £2million pile, saying wind tore through the property from broken windows while the stench of old food and cat wee lingered in its halls.
The caretaker, who worked for 41-year-old Katie between September and January this year and lived at the property, says the West Sussex house was in a "complete state".
Katie, who was once worth an estimated £40million, bought the 11-bedroom pile pile from former Tory minister Francis Maude in 2014.
However, her financial health has taken a hit in recent times, with the star declared bankrupt at the High Court last year.
The extent of the mess at Katie's mansion was kept away from cameras for years – until she agreed for the house to appear on Through The Keyhole.
Viewers were shocked when the show's host Keith Lemon visited, pointing out everything from the piles of horse poo on the drive to the green scum on the pool.
Since then, cleaning the place up has been a struggle for the star, with hair-raising clutter and piles of rubbish spied both inside and outside the home.
