Love Island 2020: Ched and Jess dealt cruel blow just hours before live ITV final

The first-ever winter series of Love Island is coming to an end as Laura Whitmore prepares to enter the villa in South Africa and announce this year’s winning couple. The ITV2 finale will see either Luke M and Demi, Ched and Jess, Luke T and Siannise or Paige and Finn crowned victorious and pocket the £50,000 prize fund.

However, just hours before the finale airs on ITV2, it appears Ched and Jess are already out of the running.

That’s because bookmakers have placed the pair as rank outsiders with odds sky-high in comparison to their fellow Love Island couples.

According to online bookmakers The Pools, Ched and Jess are a staggering 66/1 to be announced as the first-ever winners of Love Island’s winter edition.

In comparison, Luke T and Siannise look certain for glory as they’re currently 1/4 to be unveiled as the winning pair.

Closely behind Luke T and Siannise in the stakes are Finn and Paige who The Pools has given odds of 3/1 to win.

Luke M and Demi could also cause an upset if their odds of 14/1 are anything to go by.

The rather unflattering odds don’t stop there either as Coral has similarly placed Jess and Ched as 40/1 outsiders.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “The final of Love Island’s first-ever winter series is here and we think there’s one couple who are streets ahead of the others in the race to victory.

“We make Luke T and Siannise the odds on favourites to be crowned winners,”

He added: “Finn and Paige are second-favourites whilst the biggest shock would be if Ched and Jess managed to win.”

However, could Ched and Jess pull off one of the biggest shocks in the show’s history tonight?

They’ve certainly garnered plenty of support among fans and celebrity viewers but none more so than Jess’s twin sister, Eve.
