Love Island 2021 girls pick their favourite boys in sneak peek at episode one

Love Island is finally on our doorsteps, returning to ITV2 after over one year off the air.

Ahead of the season launch, ITV2 has released teaser pics of the first episode, which sees the Islanders meet each other for the first time.

Spotted in the infamous Spanish villa, Love Island host Laura Whitmore can be seen striding into the grounds of the property.

The Irish presenter will be spending the next eight weeks in Mallorca, while her husband, Iain Stirling, will narrate the show from back in the UK.

Wearing a blue and white off-the-shoulder gown, the mum-of-one has placed barrettes in her hair which read "my type on paper" – one of the show’s many catchphrases.

Five female contestants can be seen lined up in their bikinis, ready to meet the eligible bachelors who will be joining them in the villa.

Liberty Poole, a Nando’s waitress from Birmingham, is the first on the left, wearing a white bikini with a matching sarong.

To her left, civil servant Sharon Gaffka, who was crowned "Miss International UK" in 2018, stands facing the boys in a neon pink outfit.

In the middle stands Kaz Kamwi, a fashion blogger from Essex, who can be seen working a glamorous yellow two-piece.

Next up comes Financial Services Marketing Executive Chloe Burrows – a self-confessed gym lover – in a blue wraparound swimsuit.

Finally, Page 3 girl and DJ Shannon Singh can be seen in the line-up, working a chic olive green swimsuit.

As each of the lads are revealed, the girls can be seen cheering and clapping, waiting to stake their claim on each of the singletons.

Party planner Aaron Francis appears first, his toned abs on full display as he races towards his fellow contestants.

Next up is labourer Brad McClelland, hoping to find a Zara McDermott lookalike in the villa.

In third place comes PE teacher Hugo Hammond, who is the first disabled contestant to take part in the series.

The sports whizz previously played cricket with the England PD (Physical Disability) team, travelling everywhere from Dubai to Bangladesh for the high-stakes sporting events.

Swiftly after Hugo comes Jake Cornish – a water engineer from Weston-super-Mare – in a pair of teeny red swim shorts.

And finally, in sixth place, the contestants meet footballer Toby Aromolaran, who is hoping to find his first-ever girlfriend in the villa.

While the teaser pics hint at chaos to come, it’s not clear which contestants have coupled up with who.

Tune in tomorrow night to find out – it’s set to be a long, hot summer!

Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9pm on Monday.
